About Wrath of Comics
Why should you listen to me?
I've spent more than thirty years immersed in comic books—not just as a collector, but as a creator, retailer, grader, and lifelong fan.
I've bought comics, sold comics, published comics, graded comics, and yes... I've speculated on comics.
Sometimes those bets paid off in a big way.
I was collecting Something is Killing the Children from the very beginning, picking up multiple variants at cover price before the series exploded in popularity. One of those books—a CGC 9.8 Something is Killing the Children #6 Jenny Frison "Ghost" 1:25 Variant—sold through Wrath of Comics for $2,500, a sale that was even shared by BOOM! Studios founder Ross Richie on Instagram.
But this site isn't about chasing the next $2,500 comic.
It's about recognizing great comics before everyone else does.
My comic book journey began when I was sixteen years old with my first business, Kamakaze Comics. Back then I created my own mail-order catalogs, advertised in Comics Buyer's Guide, spent weekends digging through comic shops looking for hidden gems, and set up at comic conventions to buy and sell.
I've also been on the creative side of the industry. I self-published my own comics, and my artwork appeared in several well-known comic books during the 1990s, including Spawn and Usagi Yojimbo.
In 2020, I launched Wrath of Comics, an online comic shop that quickly became known for carrying hot books that were sold out almost everywhere else. Rather than relying heavily on preorders, I listed books on release day, much like a local comic shop putting new comics on the shelves. Because I sourced books from multiple distributors, collectors often found sought-after comics here at prices that beat eBay.
I also spent a year grading comics for CBCS, giving me firsthand experience evaluating condition, defects, and what separates an average copy from a truly collectible one.
All of those experiences have given me a unique perspective on the hobby. I've seen comics from every angle: collector, creator, retailer, grader, and investor.
Do I predict every hit?
Of course not.
Nobody does.
But over the years I've learned how to spot strong creative teams, exciting first issues, standout cover art, and books with the ingredients to become tomorrow's favorites.
That's what Wrath of Comics is all about.
Every week I sort through hundreds of upcoming releases to help readers discover the comics that deserve a closer look—whether they're worth reading, collecting, or simply admiring for the incredible artwork.
Welcome to Wrath of Comics. I hope you discover your next favorite comic here.
